Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday said that his party would not field its candidate in the next year in Assembly election of Uttar Pradesh. Talking to the media in his home-town Gopalganj he said that he would make all out effort to prevent the division of secular forces.
His remarks came ahead of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s scheduled public rally in Lucknow on Tuesday. Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad are allies in Bihar. Lalu Prasad said his party’s focus was to defeat the “BJP-RSS” in the elections and strengthen secular forces. “My only agenda is to defeat the BJP and RSS in the country.”
